Gholamhossein Ekbatanifard obtained his Ph.D. degree in computer engineering at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran in 2013. He earned his B.S. degree in Software Engineering from the Islamic Azad University-Lahijan Branch, Gilan, Iran in 2001, and the M.S. degree in Software Engineering and Network Security from Ferdowsi University in 2004. He was a visiting researcher in the embedded software group of the Netherlands’ Delft University of Technology working on “multi-radio Opal nodes” project in cooperation with CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency. His research interests include design and performance evaluation of protocols for wireless sensor networks, Internet of Things, cloud computing, network security, and machine learning. He is a member of IEEE and Computer Society of Iran (CSI).
